Yangon Region Tourism Committee gave the green light to hotel businesses with an estimated capital of over K8 billion, according to the regional tourism committee’s meeting 6/2020.
UMFCCI invites tenders to construct new building in Nay Pyi Taw
The Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) called for open tenders to construct a new building in Nay Pyi Taw, its press statement said on 27 October.
Sesame exports exceed 150,000 tonnes, fetching $240 mln last FY

Over 320,000 bags from reserved rice sold at fairer price last 3 months
A total of 321,771 bags (108 pounds per bag) from reserved rice have been sold between 10 July and 26 October 2020, according to Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF). Of them, Yangon Region had the biggest purchase with 69,207 bags, followed by Mandalay Region with 17,833 bags.

Yangon gold market, which has suspended its sale because of the outbreak of COVID-19, will resume its sale commencing from 26 October, according to Yangon Gold Entrepreneurs Association (YGEA).
External trade tops $153 bln in incumbent government period
Myanmar’s external trade over the past four years under the incumbent government has touched a high of US$153 billion, comprising exports worth $70.4 billion and imports valued $82.8 billion, according to the statistics released by the Ministry of Commerce.
