Under the supervision of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, foreign and domestic tourists have been visiting Myanmar through different modes of transport to enjoy well-known destinations, beautiful sceneries and a diverse range of cultures and traditions of local tribes in Myanmar.
IT has been 10 years since I start participating in My-anmar-France field sur-vey on primate fossil in 2008. In the first year our trip to Bahin Village in Myaing Town-ship via Pyay and Pakokku was a very difficult one. Road trans-port was very bad. As some rains had fallen I vividly remember reciting all the religious verses I knew as we made the journey arduously.
MANDALAY i s where Myan-mar’s cultural heritages are. Many ancient Myanmar wooden monasteries with late Konbaung dynasty’s Inwa, Amarapura and Yadanapon era architectural and construction styles were constructed in Mandalay. The monasteries were treasured and well maintained and thus can be seen in magnificent forms today.
The number of day-trippers from Thailand and other countries who visited Myanmar through Tachilek border gate from May 31 to June 6 this year reached about 19,906,
The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism has been making appropriate arrangements for international visitors to flock to Myanmar in a safe and secure manner. The ministry also organized some travel itineraries for tourists who enter the country through border checkpoints.
