Thandaung, 10 October

In commemoration of World Teachers Day, a ceremony to honour teachers was held at the Basic Education High School in the town of Thandaung, Thandaunggyi township, Kayin state this morning. 

At the ceremony, Pyithu Hluttaw MP U Saw Victor Khalite made a speech and then, the township education officer U Saw Thar Du mentioned the aim of the ceremony. Then prizes were given to students who won commemorative essay, poem competitions. Then, retired teacher Daw Kyu Kyu Swe read out the message about World Teachers Day. 

A total of 25 teachers who attended the ceremony were provided with gifts.
