The Myanma Railways will operate two special trains between Yangon and Mandalay from 10 October for the convenience of people who wish to return to their hometowns for the Thadingyut holidays.

 

The special trains will leave the Yangon Central Railway Station at 4.30 p.m. and arrive in Mandalay at 10.40 a.m.


The train from Mandalay station will leave at 6 p.m. and arrives in Yangon at midnight. MR will run up and down special trains on the Yangon–Mandalay line under this schedule.


Upper-class tickets for the trains will be available at the railway station from 8 October, and ordinary-class tickets will be sold from 9 October.


The fare has been set at K9,300 for upper-class seats and K4,650 for ordinary class seats. The special trains will stop at Toekyaungkalay, Bago, Daik-U, Pyuntaza, Nyaunglebin, Peinzaloke, Kyauktaga, Kanyutkwin, Phyu, Taungoo, Ay lar, Pyinmana, Nay Pyi Taw, Tatkone, Yamethin, Pyawbwe, Nyaungyan, Thazi, Thaetaung, Myitthar, and Kyaukse stations.
The 11 up and 12 down, 5 up and 6 down, and 3 up and 4 down trains will be operated regularly, as part of Myanma Railways’ push to offer better services to travelers.
