A total of 77 Myanmar migrant workers including 74 men, three women were sent back from Thailand through the Kawthoung border gate yesterday for not holding proper documentation.
Thai authorities brought the Myanmar migrant workers to Kawthoung via sea route and handed them over to their Myanmar counterpart in Kawthoung.
Also present on the occasion were personnel from the township General Administration Department, the Labor Department, the Anti-human Trafficking Police Force and the Disaster Management Department and others.
The returnee workers are sent to their places of origin after being provided with health care.— Kyaw Soe (Kawthoung)
