With the guidance of the Sitagu Sayadaw, free eye care services were jointly provided by Medi Myanmar Group Ltd, and L’ Occitane Foundation at Sitagu Sakkudana Eye Hospital in Thandwe.
An eye specialist team led by Ophthalmologist Prof: Dr. Mya Aung provided free eye care services from 12 to 15 February at the hospital.
A total of 690 patients are undergoing medical check-up, of whom 267 are being given eye surgical operations. A total of 96 patients underwent surgical operations until 13 February, according to U Win Aye, member of Sitagu Sakkudana Eye Hospital Committee.
