Thayetchaung, 9 January
In a bid to boost income of local farmers, the Township Agriculture Department has completed the cultivation of 594 acres of oilseed crops in Thayetchaung Township, Dawei District, Tanintharyi Region, during this year’s winter crop growing season, according to the Township Department of Agriculture.
This year, the Township Agriculture Department planted 60 acres of winter sesame, 36 acres of sunflower, 51 acres of mung beans, 37 acres of cow peas, 20 acres of corn, 344 acres of vegetables, and 46 acres of chili as winter crops in the Township.
