Four Chinese workers from CEEC company installing power cables in Pyawbwe fell off the lines in Pyawbwe on 6 July, and three died and one was injured.

The accident happened at the 500 KVA transmission tower 91,which is between mile post 269/6 and 7, on Yangon-Mandalay Expressway, in Pyawbwe Township. Zi Fayou, Li Wenquan, He Kaili and Uang Shihua fell off while working on the tower due to nuts coming off. Zi Fayou, Li Wenquan and He Kaili fell from about 100 feet and died on the spot. Yang Shihua’s leg got caught on the tower and injured. He was sent to the Mandalay General hospital.
