Three COVID-19 positive patients who were receiving medical treatment at Township staff housing in Wunzalilaw village in Mong Yang Township, Tachileik District, Shan State (East) discharged from the hospital this morning.

Township Administrator U Nyi Nyi Win, Police Major Myo Myint and departmental officials met with the patients and spoke words of encouragement to them. Then, an assistant medical officer from the Township Public Health Department Dr. Han Soe urged the patients to abide by the instructions guided by the Ministry of Health and Sports and to put themselves under quarantine at their homes. Afterwards, they were sent back to their homes by members of Township Red Cross Association. 

In the township, the first COVID-19 positive patient was found on December 4 and there were nine COVID-19 patients until December 14. Out of them, the three patients were now discharged from the hospital, according to Township Public Health Department.
