Three people tested positive for coronavirus in Kalay Township, Sagaing Region on December 23, according to the district Department of Public Health.
20 people who had close contact with virus positive patients and one person being treated at an emergency ward of a 300-bedded hospital in Kalay were tested covid-19 check and three people were found to have been infected with the virus.
Three female virus positive patients are currently being treated at a public hospital. The number of confirmed coronavirus patients in Kalay Township has reached 54 so far.
