At the opening ceremony of the housing project on 12 Au­gust, the Union Minister for Construction unveiled that as the Thukhawady public rental housing project in Nay Pyi Taw has been successful­ly completed, a total of 448 apartments within the hous­ing complex will be leased to the people.

 

Reportedly, a total of 448 apartments from 28 build­ings of the project will be rented to residents. Mean­while, ongoing process is being made to implement Thukha Dagon Public Rent­al Housing project in Yangon, which is set to offer 3,104 apart­ments.

 

To enhance the conveni­ence of residents at Thukha­wady public rental housing, each unit consists of a living room, two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom/toilet. Each building features four apart­ments on five floors.

 

The Ministry of Construc­tion is implementing public rental housing projects for accommodating retired em­ployees, company staff and low-income people.

 

The Mingala Yankin public rental housing in Mandalay was inaugurated on 30 June with accommodating people at 1,456 apartments. In implementing the national-level housing pro­jects in Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay and Yangon, these apartments provide people the opportuni­ty to rent and reside at these apartments at cheaper rental charge than the current real estates. — TWA/KZW
