MYANMAR’S fighter Thway Lin Htet secured a first-round knockout victory over Thailand’s Yookitti in Bangkok, Thailand yesterday at a ONE Friday Fights 93 event.
The fight lasted just two minutes and 39 seconds into the first round.
Both fighters started cautiously, exchanging low kicks and testing each other in the opening minute. After a brief feeling-out process, the action picked up with both throwing punches and strikes. Thway Lin Htet’s combination of strikes including a powerful right hook followed by a devastating elbow left his opponent in pain. The decisive blow – a right hook to Yookitti's chest — set up a brutal follow-up elbow that ended the fight.
This victory marked Thway Lin Htet’s second win in ONE Championship and his first-ever knockout. The Myanmar fighter also earned a performance bonus of 350,000 baht awarded by ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong. — Shine Htet Zaw/ KZL
