Dedaye, 8 July

A tornado struck Toe Village in Dedaye Township, Pyapon District, Ayeyarwady Region, at around 5:00 p.m. on 7 July, damaging homes and fishing boats.

The strong winds destroyed 38 houses, two fishing boats, and the signboard and fence posts of the local Rural Health Center. The total estimated damage is valued at Ks 6,430,000.

Authorities are working to temporarily relocate affected families to the homes of relatives and nearby safe buildings. Coordination is underway with the Pyapon District Disaster Management Department to provide relief and assistance to the victims.
