The final match of the Township Administration Council Chairman’s cup U-25 men’s inter-club football tournament took place in conjunction with prize awarding event at the Danyawaddy Football ground in the town of Sittwe, Rakhine State yesterday.
Chairman of the Township Administration Body U Kyaw Lwin, township level departmental officials and sports fans attended the event.
In the final game, the team representing Wartoyar beat the squad representing Silent with 5-2 and was crowned the champion trophy. This was followed by the presentation of prizes.
An official from the Township Department of Fire Services Department handed over best goalkeeper award while an official from the Township Department of Immigration and Population presented best player award through the tournament.
Afterwards, Assistant Director of the Township Sports and Physical Education Department presented cash awards and medals to Silent team, the second prize winner while Chairperson of the Township Administration Body U Kyaw Lwin awarded medals, cash awards and champion trophy to Wartoyar team, the 1st prize winner.
A total of 13 teams took part in the Township Administration Council chairman’s cup U-25 men’s inter-club football tournament which was started from August 28 in the town of Sittwe.—Myint Soe Oo(IPRD)
