A township-level disaster management course kicked off at the meeting room of the General Administration Department in Bhamo, Kachin State this morning.
On the occasion, Assistant Township Administrator U Kyaw Tun Oo gave a speech on behalf of the chairman of the township management committee. In the address, an official from the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement said that the training course is conducted to help the ministry create a resilient community that can face risky natural disasters by implementing an effective disaster management procedure.
