Laymyethna, 28 November


No casualties were reported after a tractor caught fire near the office of the Department of Agriculture in Laymyethna Township, Ayeyawady Region at around 1:30 p.m. on 27 November.


A man named U Myint Thein from Ward-4 was preparing to plough his farm by using a tractor when the accident took place. The fire is attributed to have started from an overheated dynamo of the tractor. A group of local firefighters led by the commander of the township fire brigade U Zaw Myo Htay in cooperation with local people rushed to the scene of fire and took more than an hour to completely put out the blaze with the use of one fire engine.


No one was injured in the incident. In connection with the case, tractor owner has been taken action by the local police.—Shwe Moe (IPRD)
