Than Tlang, 4 March
A ceremony to open a training course for auxiliary midwives was held at the meeting room of a public hospital in the town of Than Tlang, Chin State yesterday.
The training course was organized by the Department of Public Health under the Ministry of Health and Sports. At the ceremony, the Township Administrator U Aung Swe Myint gave an opening speech. Then, the Township Medical Superintendent Dr. Tun Pua clarified the purposes of the training course.
The three-month training course is being attended by 22 auxiliary midwives from villages in Than Tlang Township. Also present on the occasion were the township Administrator, Daw Van Dawt Chin, in charge person of Save the Children, departmental officials, staff from Department of Public Health and trainees.—Yaw Na, IPRD
