Mawleik, November 18
With the aim of creating job opportunities for local people, the opening ceremony of a nursery school teacher course, jointly organized by Mawleik District/ Township Women Affairs Committee and Sagaing Region Social Affairs Department, was held at the Mawleik District Women Affairs Committee this morning.
At the opening ceremony, the district administrator U Nyi Nyi Lwin made an opening speech. Then, Principal Daw Thin Nu Aye of the region social affairs department explained the aim of the course. She said the course was opened to create job opportunities for youths in the township, to contribute to the physical, mental, social, moral and emotional development of children under eight. A total of 101 youths from wards and villages in the township applied for the three-week course.
Present at the opening ceremony were the township management committee chairman U Thet Myint Oo, the District and the Township level departmental heads, course teachers and staff, members of the district and the township maternal and child care association, members of the district and the township women affairs committee and the trainees.—
