Kyaukme, 25 June

A collective tree planting ceremony was to make the environment clean, green and peaceful in Kyaukme Township, Northern Shan State this morning.

The event was organized by the chairman of township management committee at a location in front of an agricultural school in Kyaukme. The Amyotha Hluttaw MP U Sai Ohn Kyaw, Deputy Commissioner U Myo Kyaw, departmental staff, members of social organizations and tree enthusiasts took part in the activity.

The participants grew 300 saplings such as cherry and teak along Aungmyay Thayar-Kaunget-Khomong Raod besides the home for the aged.
