Pwintbyu, 5 June

In commemoration of World Environment Day which falls on 5 June, a collective tree planting activity was took place in the compound of Agricultural Institute in Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region this morning. 

The Township Administrator U Tun Thein Aung and departmental officials, Principal of the Agricultural Institute Daw Yee Yee Tin and teachers, staff officer of the township Forest Department U Aung Maw and staff attended the activity, and planted about 300 saplings in the compound of the Agricultural Institute.

With the aim of keeping the environment green, maintaining soil and temperature, the township Forest Department will plant 126641 trees in the township in 2020, according to an official from the township Forest Department.
