Saw, 6 June

In commemoration of World Environment Day which falls on 5 June, a collective tree planting activity was took place between mileposts 16/3 and 16/4 beside Saw-Kyaukhtu Road in Saw Township, Gangaw District, Magway Region yesterday morning.

With the aim of keeping the environment green, maintaining soil and temperature, the region Hluttaw Representative U Htein Lin, the Township Administrator U Kyin Min Tun, staff officer of the township Forest Department U Maung Nge and staff and departmental officials attended the activity, and planted about 385 saplings.—Zaw Myo Thant (Saw)
