Kawlin, 19 July
A collective tree-growing ceremony to mark 73rd Martyr’s Day which falls on 19 July was held in the compound of Yadana Monastery in Moehna Village in Kawlin Township, Sagaing Region this morning.
With the aim of keeping the environment green, maintaining soil and temperature, Chairman of township management committee U Ye Myint Thein, Chairman of the township election commission U Win Ko Ko, staff officer of the township Agriculture Department U Hla Myint, Police members, staff officers of the township Forest Department U Wai Phyo and staff and locals participated in the tree planting activities.
The participants planted a total of 550 saplings including teaks and eucalyptuses at the designated places.—U Myint Tun Min, IPRD
