No casualty was reported when a 12-wheeled truck overturned near Shanywa village in Nyaung Laybin Township, Bago region yesterday afternoon. 

The truck travelling from Myanmar’s central city of Mandalay to Yangon city skidded and overturned between milepost 96/1 and 96/2 on Yangon-Mandalay expressway.  Driver Than Tun Win, 32, and Chan Nyein Shwe, 33, were in the car when the accident occurred. The windscreen and rare mirrors were destroyed in the incident. The cost of damage was estimated at K 3.5 million, according to police records.

Local police brought action against Than Tun Win, the driver of the car for careless driving.—Nay Lin ( Nyaung Laybin)
