US President Donald Trump has tweeted that the US has agreed to delay a planned increase in tariffs on Chinese goods.

He said the hike will be moved back from October 1st to October 15th. The tariffs are on 250 billion dollars' worth of Chinese imports and were scheduled to rise to 30 percent from 25 percent.


Trump said the delay was at the request of Chinese Vice Premier Lie He, because the People's Republic of China will be celebrating its 70th anniversary.
