Lankhio, 4 September
Two homes were burnt to ashes after a house fire in Maonlong Village in Lankhio Township, Southern Shan State, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.
The fire broke out in a house of a man named U Lone Nay at about 5 p.m. on September 1 and the fire is believed to have started from an overheated safeguard. Firefighters from local fire service stations rushed to the scene of fire and extinguished the flame with the use of three fire engines in 30 minutes.
The blaze destroyed two homes and the house owner has been taken over fire negligence by the local police.
