Japan's Foreign Ministry says two Japanese have died after falling in a national park in the western US state of Utah.

The ministry says a man and a women both in their 60s died in the Arches National Park on Friday.

Another man in his 30s was also reportedly injured after falling.

The Japanese consulate general in Denver is now working to confirm the facts.

The park is known for over 2,000 natural stone arches. Its landmark Delicate Arch is a popular tourist spot.
