Kanbalu, 28 January

A fire broke out in ward-3 in the town of Kanbalu, Saganing Region this early morning, killing two people.

The fire was thought to have started from an electric short circuit installed in the house of Daw Pu Nywe in ward-3 in the town of Kantbalu. Two women, identified as Daw Pu Nywe, 73, and her daughter Ma Myint, 46, were killed in the fire.

The fire was brought under control and extinguished at about 1:00 am. Kanbalu Police Station is taking action against Daw Pu Nywe for her negligence.—Lu Aung(Katha)
