Stimulant tablets were seized from a motorized boat in the sea, a mile south of Sa
tein village in Boat Pyin township in Kaw Thoung district, Taninthayi region yesterday morning.
Upon information received, local police officers sent a warning signal to some 250 feet-long motorized boat to stop. There were two people onboard the boat, helmsman Nyan Tun, 48, and San Pwint Aung, 25. After thoroughly searching, the police found a total of 4000 stimulant tablets put in a bag from Nyan Tun.
Local police officers pressed drug charges against the two for dealing drugs, according to boat Pyin police station.—Kyaw Soe (Kawthoung)
