Shwebo, December 20
Two men who robbed a woman of her purses were arrested in the town of Shwebo, Sagaing region in the morning of 18th December, according to Shwebo police station.
While a woman named Shwe Zin Win was riding a motorbike from “Shwe Lamin” footwear shop in the town to her home to fetch a food carrier, unidentified two men riding a motorbike alongside her robbed her of a blue purse and a red purse put in a yellow plastic bag and drove away.
Local residents and members of the police on patrol seized the two men after the woman screaming for help. According to the complaint made by the woman, the police pressed robbery charges against the two at Shwebo police station.—Chit San (Khin-U)
