Two people were killed and one other injured after a speeding motorbike crashed into a utility pole in Thabeikkyin Township, Mandalay Region, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.

The accident took place in a village in Thabeikkyin Township at about 9:30 p.m. on 11 November when a motorbike with three men hit a utility pole. Three men were seriously injured in the incident. Two men identified as Kyaw Min Tun and Min Ko Ko were pronounced dead on arrival at a public hospital in Thabeikkyin.

In connection with the case, the motorcyclist has been charged with reckless driving by the local police.—MOHA
