TWO coaches from the Totten-ham Hotspur club of the Eng-lish  Premier  League  provid-ed football training to around 240 kids yesterday at the Yan-gon  United  Sports  Complex  (YUSC) in Yangon.

At  the  day-long  program,  Mr Anton Blackwood, Interna-tional Development Manager, and Mr Aaron Tilbrook, Inter-national Development Coach, from  the  Tottenham  Hotspur  F.C. trained young footballers aged  7  to  14  years,  with  the  assistance  of  local  coaches  from the Yangon United Foot-ball Club.

The  young  trainees  took  to  the  training  fields  enthu-siastically,  running  drills  and  exercises.

Mr Anton Blackwood and Mr  Aaron  Tilbrook  are  mem-bers  of  a  coaching  team  that  trains  world-class  stars  such  as  England  forward  Harry  Kane  and  South  Korean  at-tacker Son Heung-Min.

“As  football  coaches,  it  is  always a delight to be contrib-uting towards the development of  youth  through  sport,  espe-cially here in Asia.

Such  training  camps  are  very  effective  at  inculcating  positive values, such as team-work  and  the  importance  of  staying  active  through  phys-ical  activities,”  said  Aaron  Tilbrook.

“On behalf of our coaching team, we would like to express our  appreciation  for  the  hon-our to be in Myanmar for the first time, thanks to AIA Myan-mar, and to directly work with these young footballing talents who have a bright future ahead of them,” he added.

The football training event was  entitled  ‘AIA  KICK’,  and  it  was  organized  by  the  AIA  Life  Insurance  Company.  —  KyawKhin
