YANGON United and ISPE FC showcased their supremacy with emphatic 5-0 victories in the MNL U21 Youth League on 13 May, stamping their authority as title contenders.
At Padonma Stadium, Yangon United delivered a ruthless performance against Dagon Port, striking twice before the break and piling on three more in the second half. The floodgates opened in 13 minutes through Htoo Wunna, followed by a composed finish from Maung Top in 24 minutes. After the interval, Kaung Khant Kyaw bagged a quickfire brace in 47 and 49 minutes before Nay Bo Bo Htut sealed the rout in 84 minutes. The result shows Yangon United firmly retaining its grip at the top of the table.
Over at South Dagon Stadium, ISPE FC mirrored that dominance with a five-goal dismantling of Hanthawady United, snapping back into form after recent setbacks. Sit Nyein Chan Oo drew first blood in 21 minutes before Saw Aung Myo Oo stole the spotlight with an electrifying four-goal haul, netting in 22, 25, 32, and 79 minutes. While ISPE celebrated a return to winning ways, Hanthawady were left searching for answers following another disappointing outing.
The league action resumes today with a triple-header: Maha United face Dagon Star United at Padonma Stadium, Thitsar Arman take on Rakhine United at South Dagon Stadium, and Yadanabon clash with Ayeyawady United on the turf of Bahan. — Ko Nyi Lay/ KZL
