THE Embassy of the United States of America in Myanmar transferred US$30,000 worth of equipment for distance learning capacity during a handover ceremony held at the Union Attorney-General’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the ceremony, Mr George Sibley, Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Myanmar, briefed the aims of donation and further cooperation works.
Attorney–General of the Union U Tun Tun Oo said that the donation is very supportive for the development of distance learning capacity of the UAGO especially for improving the works of the office and skills of legal officers during the COVID-19 pandemic, and that he ex pressed thanks for the technical and physical support of the U.S. Embassy which provide distance learning system for legal officers and also for the equipment which have been already installed at the Region/State Advocate– General’s Offices in Taunggyi, Loikaw, Magway, Haka, Hpa-an, Dawei and Sittway in addition to Nay Pyi Taw.
