Kawthoung 3 April

A total of 89 Myanmar migrant workers who worked illegally in Thailand were repatriated by Thai authorities from Ranong Immigration Department through Kawthoung Border Gate on 2 April.

The migrant workers were sent back due to illegal stay without proper document and expiry of cross border pass according to the laws of Thailand.  

The returnees were welcomed by officials from Township General Administration Department, Labor, Immigration and Population Department, Anti-human Trafficking Police Force, Labor Department and Disaster Management Department. They were furnished with basic needs and free health care services by officials from Department of Public Health. The officials helped them return their homes safely.
