The workshop on improvement of the justice system and implementation process of opening pilot law offices was held, on 1 March, in the meeting hall of the Union Attorney General’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw.
The workshop began with opening remarks by Union Attorney-General U Tun Tun Oo. The workshop is aimed at improving the justice system and pilot law offices through reviewing the current cooperation between the Union Attorney General’s Office and USAID.
During the workshop, participants discussed matters relating to case management being carried out in accordance with the strategic plan of the Union Attorney General’s Office, cooperation with USAID, work management, conditions which can bring justice through good management, improving the case management at the pilot law offices in Pyin Oo Lwin, Chan Aye Thar Zan and Mawlamyine Townships, opening pilot law offices at Mawlamyine, Yangon (East), Pathein, Dawei and Taunggyi District law offices, Pretrial Interviews by law officers, capacity building of the law officers, practicing legal standard, on-going process of the reviewing weak and strong points of the law offices and setting up management projects.
