ACCORDING to the guidance of the Head of State, MSME businesses should not only meet domestic demands but also produce high-quality products suitable for export. In line with this directive and to encourage the emergence of high-quality new domestic MSME products, the Central Committee for the Develop­ment of Micro, Small and Me­dium Enterprises will hold the Union-level MSME Prod­uct Exhibition and Competi­tion from 10 to 14 February.

 

The selection and award­ing process will be led by Dep­uty Minister U Myint Soe, who serves as the chairman of the selection and awarding sub­committee. The competition is currently taking place at the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development from 7 to 9 February.

 

A total of 193 business owners from different states and regions are participating in the competition: 29 for the Micro-sized Product Award, 34 for the Small-sized Prod­uct Award, 28 for the Medi­um-sized Product Award, 35 for the One Region, One Product (OROP) Award, 25 cooperative societies for the Cooperative Manufacturing Performance Award, and 42 for the Small-Scale Handi­craft and Industrial Product Award.

 

A total of 31 awards across six categories will be presented, and the winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 14 Feb­ruary at the exhibition venue. — MNA/KNN
