U Kyaw Tin, Union Minister for the Ministry of International Cooperation, received Mrs Christine Schraner Burgener, the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General on Myanmar, at 5pm yesterday, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, they cordially discussed the matters pertaining to the development in Rakhine State, upcoming reports to be submitted at the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, cooperation with the office of the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General in Nay Pyi Taw, progress on cooperation with ASEAN, Myanmar’s readiness to receive returnees from Bangladesh, the planned visit of a Myanmar High Level delegation to Bangladesh to share information about the repatriation arrangements and the invitation extended to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh to Myanmar to discuss the repatriation process. — MNA
