Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Soe Htut visited Taunggyi District Fire Station in Shan State yesterday morning.

During his visit, Lt-Gen Soe Htut met firefighters at the training centre of the District Fire Services Department where he inspected the demonstration of firefighting skills, and 15 new fire engines, two new rescue vehicles, and two new ambulances purchased by 2019-2020 Financial Year budget of Shan State.

Director of the Shan State Fire Services Department U Tin Min explained the operation of activities of the fire department. Lt-Gen Soe Htut then looked around the displays of firefighting and rescue equipment.
