Union Minister for Health and Sports Dr Myint Htwe yesterday praised the Myanmar Health Assistants Association (MHAA) for launching its Strategic Plan 2019-2023, which is also its first roadmap.
Speaking at the launching ceremony at Pullman Hotel in Yangon, Union Minister Dr Myint Htwe stressed the vitality of making contacts with sister organizations, assigning specific duties and conducting cooperative efforts for achieving fine results.
He suggested an inclusive meeting in which all the departments and sections under the Ministry of Health and Sports, which also had their own strategies and projects, and the bodies concerned with the MHAA’s strategic plan and the MHAA were participants.
By holding such meetings, the participants could effectively use the funds through the practice of reinforcing one another and avoiding repetition of activities in the same place and overlapping, he noted.
“The ministry-compiled Health Partner’s Profile (2018) includes sector-wise and region-wise activities of INGOs, NGOs and other bodies,” he explained.
“MHAA should further cooperate with the ministry in enhancing public health awareness campaigns,” he noted.
“The noble approaches including company spirit, cooperative spirit, and mutual understanding and respect are the foundation of success,” he said, and promised the ministry’s assistance for all stakeholders in developing the health sector through cooperative efforts.
Union Minister Dr Myint Htwe and team then viewed the documentary photos of the association.
