Union Minister for Labour, Immigration and Population  U Thein Swe inspected renovation works at the skill training centre under the management of Department of Labour in Yankin Township of Yangon yesterday morning.

Director-General U Win Shein presented the history of center, courses, assessment procedures in accordance with the National Skill Standards Authority (NSSA) and renovation works at the centre.

Mr Yamada Ryo from the Japan International Cooperation Agency explained upgrade of meeting hall at the centre, which is conducting skill trainings in coordination with JICA and KND Corporation for construction works and its assessment procedures on the skills of electricity, air con and welding are helpful for the workers.

The Union Minister also witnessed training session for young trainees who will take part in assembling contests of ASEAN countries, and level -1 assessment of assembling air con before he inspected renovations of a meeting room and the skill development centre.—MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
