U Soe Win, the Union Minister for Planning and Finance, inspected the customs, immigration, and quarantine procedures (CIQ) yesterday at the border control facilities near Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge 2 in Myawady Town, Kayin State.

First, the Union Minister heard reports from the Customs Department, the Department of Immigration and Population, the Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department, the Department of Fisheries, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Food and Drug Administration, the Department of Medical Services, and the Myanmar Police Force, and then gave his suggestions.

Thereafter, the Union Minister inspected the Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge 2 and 1. The border trade center at Bridge 2 will inspect cargo, travelers, food, drugs, animals, plants, and fishery products, and will check travelers for illnesses or infections.
