Improvements of a rural road have been undertaken by the Department of Rural Development in Tegon Village, Minbu Township and the project is cent percent completed.
An upgrade work for the rural road measuring 4800 ft. in length was started in late March with Ks. 12.5 million in which Ks. 10 million was funded by the DRD in the fiscal year 2019-2020 and Ks. 2.5 million was contributed by local people. The facility benefits 360 residents from 89 households in the village, said U Aung Phone Lin, an official from the DRD.
The DRD has been carrying out construction of five rural roads, four concrete roads and seven electrification structures in some villages in the township at a cost of Ks, 186.1 million of the funds under the Village Development Plan and all projects have been 85 percent finished so far, he added.
