Medical workers conducted mass vaccination campaign to prevent women from cervical cancer at the office of the Township Maternal and Child Welfare Association in Kyunhla Township, Kanbalu District of Sagaing Region this morning.

During the vaccination campaign, healthcare workers from the Township Department of Public Health carried out a medical check-up before giving the vaccine and vaccinated girls between nine and twelve years old with human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine in line with health guidelines set by Ministry of Health.

A total of 865 girls have been vaccinated against cervical cancer since September, 2023 at the designated vaccination sites in Kyunhla Township. Medical workers will continue to give the vaccine to the rest of girls in the Township.—Myo Win Nyo(Kyunhla)
