A vocational training course on making value-added food was opened in Ashae Htanpin Village, Pantanaw Township, Ayeyawady Region this morning.
The vocational training course was jointly conducted by the Department of Rural Development Small Scale Industry Department under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation with the aim of creating job opportunities for rural people and increasing their income.
The course instructors from the SSID are giving practical and theoretical training on making different food such as cake, cookie, fried crispy onions, jams, juice, sandwiches, sauce and jelly by using teaching aid materials. The 15-day training course is being attended by 20 trainees throughout the township.—IPRD
