Officials from Meiktila District Department of Rural Development made a field trip to inspect the progress of village development projects in the district during 2022-2023 FY on July 19.

The officials inspected water distribution projects, construction of rural roads, Cash for Work project and VDP in Meiktila, Mahlaing, Wundwin and Thazi Townships. Then they met with responsible people from the companies and urged them to meet the set standard within the deadline. 

Arrangements are being made to open 13 vocational training courses during 2022-2023 FY and now, a total of 7 vocational training courses have been opened. Other courses will be opened at the designated period, according to an official.

In Meiktila District, 13 water distribution projects, cash for work projects in four villages, village development projects in 36 villages and construction of seven rural roads are being implemented.
