A respect-paying ceremony to veteran journalists U Khin Maung Htwe (a.k.a.) Htwe Myint Naing and U Kyi Aung by local reporters took place at the community center in Sagaing this morning.

On the occasion, Secretary of Sagaing Region Journalist Association U Zaw Myint explained the purpose of event. Next, Chairman of the region journalist association U Kyi Aung urged the media professionals to value their professions, expressed his wishes to exercise tolerance among them, abiding by the media ethics and codes of conduct without harming the dignity of media industry.

Next, those present paid respect to the veteran journalists. The event was also attended by local reporters from Sagaing.—Zaw Myint Naing
