Fifth year students from the University of Veterinary Science started their Bagan-NyaungU excursion yesterday, said its Deputy Rector Dr Saw Po Po. The excursion group first arrived at Bagan-NyaungU cultural heritage zone in the morning and visited prominent pagodas there.One of the students, Ma Phyo Eaindra Kyaw from Mogaung, Kachin State, expressed her forlorn feelings for seeing the ancient city in ruins. She said she will always value Bagan’s integrity and thanks the teachers for organizing this trip.

Ma Phyo Thet Khine, another student, from Nay Pyi Taw said this is not her first time to the cultural zone and she always takes any available chance to visit Bagan. On behalf of all the students, she expressed their wish for Bagan to enter the UNESCO heritage list. —Ko Htein (Ngathayauk)
