DEPUTY Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Vice Senior General Soe Win joined a virtual meeting for discussing the 21st ASEAN Chiefs of Army Multilateral Meeting and the 30th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meeting yesterday. 


The Vice Senior General and other ASEAN Chiefs of Army discussed update situations of COVID outbreak in member countries and participation of military members in fight against the pandemic.


The member countries agreed that Brunei will host the 21st ASEAN Chiefs of Army Multilateral Meeting online, but the 30th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meeting will not be organized due to the spread of COVID-19. 


Moreover, the participants decided that Myanmar will become the rotating host country for 21st ASEAN Chiefs of Army Multilateral Meeting and the 30th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meeting.


According to the report from the Office of Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Myanmar organized the 14th ASEAN Chiefs of Army Multilateral Meeting, and the 23rd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meeting in 2013.
