The victims of grenade attack that occurred in Kyondoe Town in Kayuin State at about 8:30 p.m. on 11 November were provided with cash assistance by officials from the Department of Disaster Management under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement on 12 November.

Four people including two policemen were killed and seven others injured in the attack. The families of the deceased were furnished Ks. 600,000 each and the injured people with Ks. 50,000 each totaling Ks. 2.75 million contributed by the local government and the DDM.


Provisions were presented to the beneficiaries by Kayin State Minister for Social Affairs U Saw Bo Bo Wai Maung, Kayin State Minister for Immigration and Human Resource U Min Ko Khaing and concerned officials from the DDM on a door-to-door basis.—Khin Myo Win (IPRD)
