Yangon, August 24

Under the leadership of Vietnamese Embassy in Myanmar, Vietnamese businessmen in Myanmar went to Mon state from August 21 to 22 and donated financial assistance, rice and other household goods to flood victims there.

Vietnamese Ambassador and party on August 21 went to the disaster management office in Kyaikmaraw township and donated K 5550000, US$ 500 and household goods and essential foodstuff to flood victims.

 In the afternoon, they went to Mon State Government office and contributed K 5550000, US$ 600 and essential household goods for flood victims. 

On August 22 morning, the ambassador and party went to Yay Townsp General Administration Department and gave away K 5570000, US$ 450, essential foodstuff and household goods for flood victims. 

Pa-O ethnic affair minister Daw San Wint Khaing on behalf of Mon State government expressed thanks for the donation to the ambassador and party.—
